Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Mary Angelou once said, "you may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so that you can know who you are, what you can rise from, and how you can still come out of it."
These books will inspire our students to reach further than they can think possible despite the circumstances.
Many of our students have not gone further than to the city. Most of my students show compassion to others, intelligent, able to achieve great things if they believe that they can do what is needed to achieve. The women in these books will inspire them to reach higher than they thought possible.
