My Project

My students have recently had their classroom teacher read aloud book one "The Wild Robot" by Peter Brown. They are hooked. I'd love to add an additional copy of books 2 and 3 of The Wild Robot series to our school library. These books have been requested daily for the past three weeks. I'd also like to add book 2 in Spanish.

With my student's recent interest in The Wild Robot, I know I can branch them out to read other environmentally focused books like the Pax (Spanish) by Sara Pennypacker, Rosanne Parry's book "A Horse Named Sky," and "The Secret Language of Birds" by Lynne Kelly.

This project will expand our collection of climate and environment books to include the newest titles. We already have Brown, Pennypacker, Parry, and Kelly books that have been a huge hit. Let's keep that interest in caring for animals and improving our environment alive with additional reading by these amazing authors.
