My Students

My students come from many different backgrounds from two small towns in Texas. We are a Title I school district so many of our students do not have the resources at home to learn new and exciting things. My students have a love for science and they love to do hands-on activities.

When I see my students, I see future biologist, geologist, doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, businessmen, politicians, and more.

To encourage my students to continue to learn all the science that they can while in my class I need to give them hands-on activities. Please help me give those life experiences to my students. Help me open their eyes to new experiences that they will remember years later.

My Project

The microscopes will help introduce my students to the tiny microscopic world of pond water, human cheek cells, and stomata of plants.

The microscopes will allow my students to discover that there are tiny living organisms that are not visible to the naked eye.

They will be able to observe tiny protist swimming in pond water. They will observe the stomata and guard cells of the leaves when they study the process of photosynthesis and cellular respiration. They will also observe their own human cheek cells when they study cells of the human body. The small world will become visible.
