My students come from two small consolidated towns where funding is minimal. My classes are made up of 7th and 8th-grade students from different ethnic backgrounds. I teach at a Title I school where resources or supplies needed is limited. My students are dear to my heart and I want them to have the best education that I can give them, with the best resources available. I want to turn my students on to science, and to do that I need to provide them with hands-on experiences. Hands-on learning experiences significantly enhance the learning of science and are critical to the success of students across all areas of study. Laboratory work allows students to gain exposure to doing real science, with will lead to inspiration and drive to further their education and prepare them for their future and their goals. Aristotle said it best, "For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them."
