Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are predominantly Hispanic and often have little exposure to the performing arts. It has been my goal to instill the love of theatre within these children and help them develop in terms of their confidence.

They have such amazing talents and I would like their voices to be heard both literally and metaphorically.

These students are the most courteous, committed, helpful, and safe which is why I feel that are also the most deserving. Please show my students that that our society values the arts.

My Project

My students who are interested in technical theatre will learn how to connect these mics and use them with our sound system. This is an applicable skill that students can use if they pursue a career in a field dealing with sound setup. I currently have 2 students that are going to pursue such careers after high school.

In helping build their confidence as performers, speakers, and entertainers, it is important for my students' voices to be heard both literally and metaphorically.

Nothing is more unfortunate than watching a show where the students have spent weeks preparing only to find out that they can't be heard. Please help my students be heard!
