My Students
I am lucky to teach a business class that all sophomores take. This allows me to meet all of the students that range in learning styles and personalities. This year multimedia was added to my schedule. The students have been creative and enthusiastic about trying new projects and learning how to create, alter, and edit media. I have taught Accounting for several years. The students in this class feel very successful especially when they receive college credit for the material they have covered. I am also the COOP coordinator for our district. This allows me to teach, guide, and mentor students in a job outside of the school that may help them make mentorships with business leaders that are life-lasting.
My Project
We currently have several face-to-face students however those that remain at home still need a high school education. With the help of a portable dual monitor, it would be possible for me to easily connect with remote students while maintaining classroom material on the other. If students need help, I always try to be available (even this summer). I currently have a Chromebook available to be after hours. Having a portable monitor would allow me to organize student material and still have the ability to keep students "face to face" with me.
