My Students

I have the pleasure of being the teacher of a wonderful group of energetic and curious kindergartners. They love learning especially when its hands on and engaging. My kindergartners have vividly active imaginations. They are particularly found of books and their ability to transport them to other places and times.

My students are fearless.

They come to school everyday ready to learn and try new things. They remind me daily to be adventurous and take risks. They are absolutely amazing!

My Project

My students are super enthusiastic about reading. However, my students struggle with this task. Students will use this listening center as another way to enjoy great children's literature during reading workshop center time. My kindergartners would love to grab headsets and enter the world of the story of their choosing.

As students listen to stories they aren't just enjoying a tale, they are provided with a model of fluency, accuracy and appropriate rate and prosody.

As they read along with what they hear, they are improving their reading ability. The donations to this project will help to motivate students to read more and enjoy doing it.
