My students are super enthusiastic about reading. However, my students struggle with this task. Students will use this listening center as another way to enjoy great children's literature during reading workshop center time. My kindergartners would love to grab headsets and enter the world of the story of their choosing. As students listen to stories they aren't just enjoying a tale, they are provided with a model of fluency, accuracy and appropriate rate and prosody. As they read along with what they hear, they are improving their reading ability. The donations to this project will help to motivate students to read more and enjoy doing it.
