My Students
I am very fortunate to teach the students of this community. They are motivated, inquisitive, and really enjoy collaborating when given a project. Over the past year, parents have generously donated towards my vision of introducing STEM-based chemistry and biology labs involving amazing technology that is used to gather data.
The community in which I teach is very supportive of science education and hands-on learning.
Having the tools and resources available for their children to conduct meaningful labs provides them a quality science experience which the parents appreciate.
My Project
The Flinn Laboratory Kits for Classic AP Chemistry 21-Kit Bundle is a comprehensive bundle that includes twenty one amazing labs that are unique to specific subjects taught throughout the year. This will give my students the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with each concept taught.
I like my students to "live" chemistry and this massive kit will make that happen for the entire year!
Each of the labs in this kit will allow the students to develop a better understanding of the topics learned from our discussions. Investigations in this kit include oxidation–reduction titrations, determining the stoichiometry of a chemical reaction and discovering the Ka of weak acids. Those are just a few labs included. Other activities such as analysis of aluminum potassium sulfate, determination of the molar mass of gases/volatile liquids and much more!
