I am thankful to teach your children at one of the best high schools in the nation. My approach for this year is to make all of my science students experience exciting and meaningful by incorporating STEM labs that require critical thinking and collaboration. U.S. News and World Report has recognized Peninsula High a top 100 school in the nation for STEM (Science, Math Engineering and Math) schools. I want my students to have the resources needed to for STEM based inquiry and discovery labs. This years chemistry honors and biology students are very intelligent and show an genuine interest in science. They are excited when they get a chance to get out of their seats and participate in labs. Many of them may be interested in continuing their chemistry and biology knowledge by enrolling in advanced science courses next year and I would like for them to have the confidence and lab experience to do so.
