This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work at an inner city school with amazing staff, families and scholars. Many families struggle to make ends meet and send their scholars to us for the best education and care. We strive to achieve the goal of a safe, happy, clean, and engaging learning environment for all of our scholars.

The students in my classroom a bright young minds who are eager to learn.

For some of these students, this will be their very first school experience. I want to give them the very best education.

My Project

The truth about schools supplies is that they always run out! We need more schools supplies to get us through the school year. Most of my students could not afford school supplies at the beginning of the year, and now, 60 days in, we need new crayons, paper, markers, and glue. You name it, we need it!

The truth about school supplies is that they do not last forever!

One box of crayons in kindergarten will last about a month, and having extra crayons and supplies will ensure that all students get a chance to learn and not just those students who can afford supplies.
