My Project

The current chairs are decades old and leave the students uncomfortable and fidgety to the point where they need to get up to alleviate their pain. The chairs nobs and bolts pull at student hairs, leaving the chair covered. The angle of the current chairs in the classroom are curved in a way that cause students to feel back pain and get cramps.

The new chairs will help promote flexibility, movement and enjoyment.

Students will come into class to see the new chairs which will be wider and allow for free movement in their space and provides students with flexibility. With the chairs being formatted for mobility and comfort, students will want to stay in the classroom space and it will help limit their wandering from the pain the current chairs give them.

My students helped find these chairs and had specific requirements they were looking for which included a wider seat, no arms or wheels and a plastic chair that can be wiped down. They continuously bring up how bad the current chairs are and we finally were able to make a plan. The reasons you see above are all reasons they have given when writing this.
