The composition books you helped provide have already become a daily staple in our classroom. From the moment my students saw the fresh stack of journals, their excitement was palpable. For many of them, having a dedicated space to write — something that's truly their own — is empowering. They quickly labeled their books, decorated the covers, and dove right into writing. It was a moment of ownership and pride that I won't forget.\r\n\r\nWe've integrated the composition books into our daily routine. Each day begins with a writing warm-up based on the books we're reading together — everything from personal responses to character analyses to short, imaginative stories inspired by our shared texts. One student, who previously struggled to engage with writing tasks, now starts journaling before I even give the prompt — it's become a true outlet for his voice. Watching them make connections between reading and writing in real time is exactly what I hoped this project would foster.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're starting a \"My Reading Life\" unit, where students will track their reading journeys and reflect on how books shape their thinking and creativity. These journals will continue to be a safe and personal space for expression and growth. Thank you again for making this meaningful work possible. Your gift has helped turn reading and writing into something personal and joyful for my students — and that is a gift that lasts far beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nWith heartfelt thanks,\r\nSpecial Education Teacher","fullyFundedDate":1756312933600,"projectUrl":"project/writing-what-they-read/9590119/","projectTitle":"Writing What They Read","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dunn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10174532_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755124357827","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10174532"},{"teacherId":8933863,"projectId":9763360,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting our classroom with copies of Brian's Return!
