I need a portable drone to take to conferences, such as this year's KYSTE event, and to local meetups to improve my skills and knowledge.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are constantly pushing me to improve my skills and share our work with other educators. x
While I am by no means an expert in the field of drones, I am willing to learn along with my students.
This new technology has allowed us to expand our video program into the area of aerial videography and photography.
The students love knowing that they are engaged in learning in an area where few people are experts and everyone (children, teenagers, and adults) is learning and figuring out new things at the same time.
My Project
New technologies are constantly evolving. In the case of learning about drones, I have been learning right alongside my students. This project for an ultra light weight drone that I can take to conferences, such as this year's spring KYSTE (Kentucky Society for Technology in Eduction), to learn from others on how to better use drones in the classroom.
This year my goal is to truly become an expert in drone flying, and I plan to improve my skill and knowledge set through practicing, attending conferences, and passing the FAA 107 test.
This mini drone is ultra-portable, which means I will be able to take it with me to events, meet up with local and national drone experts, and most importantly, take it to conferences to discuss, learn, and exchange ideas with other educators and experts in the field.
Our drone unit typically focuses on a week long program of teaching students how to take off, land, and use basic maneuvers. However, with additional training, I will be able to teach students how to muse advanced maneuvers, such as operating the gimbal independently during flight, use advanced camera techniques such as adjusting frame rate and shutter speeds.
Of course, in order to teach this, I have to learn it first.
