Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 30 amazing students. They are super creative, kind to each other, and very hard workers. My students have a love for reading and taking AR quizzes. It’s amazing what I have to do to get them to put a book down! They also love technology and sharing about their experiences using different things. In our class, we move around, sit where we work best, and make good, independent choices. Giving students choices lets them know they are important and decision makers.
My Project
My students and I are starting at a brand new school this year. I have not taught this grade or subject before and need all the help I can in preparing my classroom for them. Math at this level is very important as it is the basis of all their math learning. The manipulatives I am requesting will help my students close gaps and gain the necessary math skills needed in their future. Math is my favorite subject and I love seeing my students learn to love it as well!!
