My Students

Our students strive to succeed and many love to challenge themselves to learn difficult mathematical concepts. But with so many students working at different speeds it is difficult to give them the response time they love.

My students are creative and engaged learners.

They enjoy learning and they are excited about it and I want them to continue in this direction. They are able to work alone or in collaborative groups. Everyday they come to school prepared and eager to learn with a spirit that inspires a community.

My Project

Technology has changed teaching. Students now spend more time on their electronic personal devices, but we still teach them with books and paper. The mathematics that they have been learning their entire school lives has always given them the challenge they needed to succeed. However, that challenge is changing. They are now required to enter all data into computers and to create reports explaining their reasoning and deductions. These two Acer laptops give students the chance to prepare for this unique style of explanation of mathematics, and many may be doing this for the first time.

I want to let the student teach.

I want to give them the opportunity to get their ideas heard by their classmates and many other students to follow. They can create podcast type lessons and share them on YouTube for everyone to experience.

By donating and supporting this project, you will directly affect the lives of hundreds of students a year. By giving my students equal access to the technology that they need, you will be providing them with the opportunities to succeed not only in my class but in life.
