Students in our upper middle class community generally have no problem with meeting their supply needs. But there is a segment of our population that cannot afford all the tools their peers have. And with the economic downturn, that segment of the population is growing in our community. We are trying to close achievement gaps and we want to eliminate as many of the obstacles to achievement as we can...especially for these students.
