Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I remember when I saw my first full skeleton when I was a youngster. It was an amazing experience; which drew me into science. It showed me what the human skeleton looked like, and all I knew is that I wanted to learn more. These students of mine deserve the same experience. They have the thirst too.

We are a wonderful third grade class.

We are wonderful learners with so much potential! We live in the state of New Mexico which such a wonderful place to live, but we have very little funding for our schools. The students here have not had a chance to be exposed to much science in their education. At least not the amount that they should be exposed to. They are eager to learn and have a wonderful staff here that dedicate themselves to the best education we can provide.

My Project

If we are able to fund the skeleton we will be able to do so much with it! First of all we will be able to explore the human skeleton in its full form. Just looking at it online or on a worksheet isn't the same as actually looking at a fully articulated skeleton. The skeleton also has the muscles and ligaments on it so we will be able to explore how they work together. Having a skeleton in the classroom and having the students actually look, feel, and explore is so important to learning about the human body and how it works.

These students of mine are amazing!

Each year they grow and learn they become brighter and better individuals. They need every opportunity they can to become the best that they can. If this project is funded the skeleton will provide this class with so much learning and experience. Not just this year, but for many years to come. Please help and donate to these children and children to come. Thank you.
