Help me give my students a calming environment for my AIG classroom. These students just as often have sensory needs and need a way to get that output while also processing all the information in their amazing brains!

My Project

I am a Academically-Intellectually Gifted 3rd-5th grade teacher that works with small groups of students to help them nurture and realize their advanced abilities in various areas of academics, the arts, problem-solving, and leadership skills. These students have shown that they require specialized services and support beyond the standard school curriculum to help them achieve their full potential.

My students, just like exceptional children, need a calm, structured, and sensory friendly classroom to process information and communicate with others effectively.

I love that my students are all unique individuals who have incredible gifts to share. With calmer lamps, a soft carpet, flexible seating options, and sensory lights/beads, these students feel more comfortable to come out of their shell and take the necessary risks needed for success!
