My Project
This coming year at LHS, we will be launching "The Science & Theory of Game Design" an applied science course that delves into probability and statistics through the lens of board games and card games. We will be looking at and analyzing games focusing on dice, drafting, and decks of cards throughout the year, leading up to a final project where students build and test their own game and write a paper about their experience.
The materials listed here will help cover the games I plan to use in our drafting unit this year.
This is the first time that we are offering this course, so there are a lot of materials that are necessary for its success.
I think that this will be a very fitting course for our particular group of students. We have some of the most creative students in the city in our building and I would love to see them shine in this course, exploring their creativity and fully engaging in the math, science, and logic used in board game design. Please help make this course a success from September!
