The Rise of Standing Desks in Schools

Help me give my students two stand up desks that can help with concentrating by increasing blood flow to the brain. The standing desks can help reduce distractions in the classroom, as students are less likely to fidget.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are full of energy and for some standing while working in the classroom is very beneficial. Standing desks for students can stimulate alertness, foster engagement and create a positive learning environment. Standing desks can also have a positive impact on health, productivity and mood in the classroom.

The two standing desks that I have requested will help my students by giving them an option to stand while they work in the classroom.

Standing desks allow students to move freely, change position and remain comfortable. Many students struggle to maintain focus on their classwork and will find any way to distract themselves. Standing desks have shown to help with distractions.
