This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hands-on is always more fun! That's why I want to create a student run store to help students learn about how a business operates. They will be doing everything from beginning inventory to final close-out and everything in between.

The students involved in this project have an interest in business and have shown initiative by taking advanced business courses.

Many of them want to pursue a business degree after graduation. They are juniors and seniors who are ready to put what they know into action and learn more with experience.

My Project

This freezer will allow us to sell frozen items, which are in high demand. This is information students found with initial surveys they created. It will also allow us to store our products on site so students can manage inventory regularly and establish reorder points driven by sales.

This freezer will make all the difference to our student run store.

Learning has to be hands-on and it has to be meaningful. If students are involved in the entire process, including inventory storage, they will learn what it takes to run a business.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
