Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is a preschool-level classroom that provides developmental opportunities for growth for my students with moderate to severe disabilities.

In the library area of the classroom, students can independently and with adult assistance choose to read age appropriate books in the classroom.

This tree bookshelf has an open design so that students can more easily see the books available to read. This provides more opportunities in future literacy skills and independent learning and thinking. This bookshelf can also be anchored to the wall, making it a much safer option for some of my students who are still developing physically.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
