My Project

Our third grade would love to have a set of books to enable all third graders to share the common experience of reading a novel with a paired non-fiction text about one of everyone's favorite things - chocolate!

We strive to provide our 3rd graders with engaging, real-life learning experiences and relevant and rigorous texts that motivate and inspire a culture of reading.

And one of the best ways to do this is to provide a common reading text that we can all read, discuss, and devour! Our goal is to inspire kids to love reading as much as they love chocolate.

All we need is a sweet set of books that we will read together in February to review all the amazing things we have learned about literature, and also to read a non-fiction text to learn text structures.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
