The Power of Prizes

Help me give my students some incentive like molding sand and invisible ink pens and notebooks they can earn for being super students!

My Project

All of our students love earning prizes. As you may already know, fidgets, kinetic sand, putty, puzzles, are all popular with elementary school kids, and they love earning them. Whether it be because they emulated Super Student behavior, helped a classmate/friend or reached an academic goal. The prizes provide incentive and help to build self-esteem for a job well done. Prizes are great for the kids because they can be proud of working their way up to something and reaching a goal.

At the end of the day, when the prizes are awarded, the students clap for the winners.

This represents the team building we want to nurture in our classroom environment. It gives them something to talk about with each other and share during lunch or recess. Prizes provide a physical representation of an accomplishment.
