The Power of a Book

Help me give my students holiday books so they are able to see their traditions represented in the classroom.

My Students

My students are passionate, kind, fun loving kids who enjoy any opportunities to be creative. They love group activities that give them a chance to work together as a team. Hands-on activities are always a winner and they love the chance to think outside the box. They show up every day ready to give their 100% best and their daily progress inspires me.

My students love to read and explore the world through books.

I am a new teacher this year and am doing my best to slowly grow our class library. My students get super excited about any upcoming holiday. I would love to continue growing my collection of holiday and season related books to share with my class!

Our classroom community allows each student to feel supported and valued. Everyone has a voice and everyone feels like their opinions matter. I take pride in the classroom family we have created and I love providing a safe and caring learning environment.

My Project

As a first year teacher, my collection of books are not yet where I would like it to be. I have enjoyed showcasing different stories online for my students, but I would love to add more of my classes favorite stories to our class library. My students have a passion for books and are always excited for our daily read aloud time.

Through books my students are able to absorb themselves in the stories and use their imagination to open themselves to new possibilities.

Having more holiday books will allow me to explore more cultures and traditions. It will allow all my students to feel included so they can see their traditions celebrated in the classroom. I am excited for the opportunity to continue supporting my students through these exciting stories.
