Help me give my students the emotional support they need to relieve the stress they have as they deal with a pandemic. I want to create an atmosphere where they can enjoy school and share they feelings.
I am a Spanish Dual Immersion teacher. I see 49 students on a daily basis and teach both Spanish and 3rd Grade math core curriculum. Each of my students are unique and come from a variety of backgrounds! They come to school each day ready to learn and participate in their education.
They look forward to the challenge of learning academics in a new language.
I will use this money for the benefit of my students and to support their learning.
My Project
This rug will be the center of the class, the place where my students will share about their every day life, emotions, feelings and many more things.
I will also use the flap table in the mindful corner where my students will be able to use the materials provided to calm down and learn how to manage their emotions.
Our students are dealing with so much anxiety due to the pandemic and creating a friendly atmosphere in class will help them keep learning math, reading, science... They really deserve it!
