Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at my are naturally creative and inquisitive. They are looking for every or any outlet to express themselves. From this the Photography Club at the school was born! A group of students eager to learn the craft and use it to express themselves.
I have the pleasure and privilege of working with 8 phenomenal and hardworking students who are eager to learn about photography and perfect their craft.
Many of the students aspire to be in the art field such as photographers and film makers, and others have dreams of becoming a veterinarian or nurse. Still, what's beautiful about them is their similar interest in art and their dedication to making it great.
My Project
The Photography Club can greatly benefit from equipment that will expand their artistic education. Understanding how to manipulate light, choose the best angle, as well as convey their message is key to perfecting their craft. The camera and lighting kit I am hoping to receive will help expand the experiences of the students by exposing them to what task that would be asked of them in the field as well as offering them to be creative in a different way.
By having more cameras, I can allow the students more individual time to practice and more freedom to mistakes and learn.
The lighting kit will allow the students to learn how to add dynamic elements to their images.
