My Students

Welcome to the "Phoenix Embassy!!" In this Embassy, you will find a 100 plus scholars engaged in learning about the variety of countries that the United States is in alliance with. These scholars are yearning to learn about politics, religion, culture, history, and geography through the social studies content!!! Within these 4 walls, we will actually go beyond these walls and explore what other countries around the world have to offer! To build this Embassy atmosphere, I want to hang all the United Nations Flags around the perimeter of my classroom to give my room that international feeling. These UN flags will also bring international diversity into my classroom as I am teaching about those countries. These items will enhance my classroom and will allow learning to continue to flow.

As the teacher, I want to do away with traditional the traditional classroom decor.

I have found that when students have visuals, they tend to take in more and grasp what is being taught. I just want to continue with this transformation so that my students can get the FULL effect of the world!

My Project

The decor requested for this project will help bring other components of the world to my students. These international flags and flag decors will transform my classroom into a mini embassy and will open the door to allow a variety cultures to hoover around the room. The bean bags will allow the students to sit on my large world map floor rug and enjoy the content being taught. I will use the world lamps to dim the world as I show world video clips. The globes will give my students a close view of the counties and where they are!
