Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Regardless of their learning disabilities, and being from low-income urban backgrounds, these are kind, hard-working high school students who deserve the best.
Every day my students try to achieve academically and this project will help build their literacy skills.
Many of these students receive speech therapy, intervention, etc. Regardless, we expect these students to follow their dreams of becoming productive members of the community. We emphasize honesty, responsibility, respect toward all and reaching for achievements!
Your donation can help my new classroom have a reading corner! We already have some bookshelves filled with some great books, now we just need some flexible seating! There are so many benefits of reading and hope that making a reading corner will continue to inspire my students to do their best!
My Project
These wonderful special education students would like to have a relaxing and inspiring reading corner in our new classroom! So, we need some comfy chairs!
The chairs for the reading corner will inspire my students to read!
My students will improve their reading skills, exercise their brains, improve concentration, increase vocabulary, develop empathy, grow their imagination and improve language skills. Plus, reading is a relaxing way to spend time with others, while learning about the world around them! And reading is fun!
