The school I work in is a Title I school and many of the students come from low-income households. A lot of our students are newcomers to the States. Even though these students are well provided for, when they get to school they need food items to keep them going through the day. This will allow students who do not have a snack to get the opportunity to enjoy a snack with the rest of their class.
This 'mobile snack cart' will allow my students to travel within the school to each classroom to provide food to students in need!
By providing the snack cart, my newcomers are not singled out. My students will be able to help support the school community by providing snacks and helping reduce the hunger fear some students may have!
