My Project

This project is for a special education class grades 3-5 to start up the Panther Coffee Cafe for the students to sell coffee and goodies to the faculty and staff at Portal Elementary School. The life skills that would be learned and practiced are following a recipe, sequencing the steps of an activity, taking orders from customers, fulfilling the orders, practicing appropriate social skills, sharing, peer to peer work, basic number recognition, health and hygiene skills, basic reading comprehension, basic number skills, using a basic cash register, being able to experience the feeling of SUCCESS, and lastly to develop the ability to work as a team to succeed.
