This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our city of Hawthorne is the headquarters of SpaceX! There is a rocket replica erected in the busiest intersection in the city. Yes, STEM is literally all around us! But in reality, my students could benefit by having more hands-on opportunities to engage and embrace STEM!

That's why providing opportunities to work with drones is an important objective.

These drones would be a great way to let my students see and feel what it means to be in control of something amazing. With the drones, they can soar high like eagles and determine the directions they want to go in life.

We have a grade level unit titled, Solving Problems with Technology. This drone would be a great example to see how technology and inventions help our world function better! Operating a drone would be a great connection and create an amazing experience and memory for the students!

With these materials, students will begin to think more creatively, think outside the box, and discover their potential. Please help my students embrace this technology, and possibly become the next generation of scientists, astronauts and aviators!
