  • The One With Work Mats and Tools to Fix Cubbies

    Thank you so much for your invaluable support towards this project, "The One With Work Mats and Tools to Fix Cubbies" - the materials were so needed!

    My students have an assigned cubby to store their headphones, lesser used textbooks, and other miscellaneous items. However, through mishaps and accidents, some of the cubby shelves have been stripped and damaged over time. I have thought of different solutions to fix this problem. Ultimately, I thought of adding these brackets to secure the shelves in place. I am hoping these will strengthen the cubbies, to extend the longevity of these necessary storage cubbies! The silicone mats (once smooth and creaseless) will be so useful too! Students often do puzzles, building activities, and other STEM-focused activities. Having these mats as defined spaces will mean that both set up and clean up will be a breeze - with all pieces accounted for!

  • The One With Prizes for Our PBIS Class Store

    THANK YOU for your important contribution, in making: The One With Prizes for Our PBIS Store - complete! My second graders have been working hard to earn more Koala-ty tickets, which is an incentive program that we use at our school. They are showing effort, respect, safety and responsibility.

    Now with this new FABULOUS inventory, my students are working even harder, to earn more! What a great way to start off the new school year! The Hot Wheels, fun soccer balls, and parachute toys are new items for the store - which I'm sure will be popular favorites! We read a story called Smoke Jumpers, and students learned that the firefighters jump out of planes with parachutes...so these were selected by a lot of students! The candy, erasers and colorful markers will be popular sellers too. These will all be great motivators to be more productive. I love when my students say that there are too many choices to pick from, and that they'll come back for something else next time. More importantly, my students are learning how to earn, save and be responsible with their planning and budgeting! Hooray!
