Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an educator, we are always juggling lots of tasks; I initially struggled when it came to creating a greener classroom. So I collaborated with my students to innovate and incorporate ideas into our classroom that are better for the planet. One of the ideas we came up with was to get eco-friendly cleaning supplies. We are requesting funding for cleaning supplies so that we can take care of our classroom and make sure that it is a healthy environment for learning.

We are requesting a vacuum so that we can keep our floors fresh and clean for all the students.

It's a lot of students in and out of the room, lots of foot traffic, and shoes, and I would like the students to be able to help and keep our classroom clean. The Earth is a fine place and worth fighting for. By having students help clean and keep our environment tidy, it will show them responsibility and a sense of pride in our class, and a job well done. Lastly, they will be able to keep their little hands clean and free from germs by using hand soap and paper towels.

The wet vac requested in this project will improve my students' school experience by making sure that our classroom is always clean. We selected as many eco-friendly cleaning products as possible as we are trying to protect our planet and keep ourselves away from toxic chemicals.
