Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Benjamin Franklin said, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” This is exactly why my students are in need of flexible seating that will allow them the freedom to learn in the capacity that they need.

My school is a Title I school in Oregon, where the student population qualifies for one hundred percent free or reduced-priced lunch.

With small school budgets, it is getting harder and harder to provide students with fun and exciting ways to learn. I want to give my students the equal opportunity to learn in an environment that is inviting and flexible to their learning style.

My dream is to help kids flourish as twenty-first century learners and accommodate to their work styles.

This Nugget couch can be used in so many different ways in the classroom. It will be the home of our safe space. This is a place that all of my students will frequent and find peace.

Feeling safe, comfort, and having a unique place to work will make The Nugget an essential piece of my classroom.

Not only will this be an anchor for my students to go when they want a place to calm down or relax, it can also be used as a work space!

This will be used for many years to come in my classroom!
