In my classroom we are engineers, critical thinkers, problem solvers, decision makers, creative thinkers, innovators, and hands on learners. My school is a Title 1 school in Oregon. Our school population is 100% free and reduced lunch. With small school budgets, it is getting harder and harder to provide students with fun and exciting ways to learn and I want to give my students the equal opportunity to fall in love with learning the same way that I did as a student. Benjamin Franklin said, "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." This is Kindergarten in a nutshell. These hands on materials will give my students the ability to involve themselves in their learning.
