This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have some kids who are ready for an adventure!

My students are a very enthusiastic and diverse group of sixth graders.

They come from all over the city of San Francisco, from many different elementary schools. They love to talk and write and get involved in different kinds of activities, and they are eager to share their excitement with the entire school in a large project that should reach all of the students that are enrolled, from grades six to eight.

My Project

The web service that this project pays for will provide my students the opportunity to publish their writing for the entire school, making it accessible to an authentic audience that can give them feedback. They are so thrilled to be able to reach out to their peers with information that they feel is important to them.

Our goal is to publish at least quarterly, including news, opinion pieces, features like interviews or reviews, polls, cultural news, and anything else the kids feel like would find a readership.

They are very ready for this challenge, and they only need a forum.
