My students need 30 wireless mice for a first ever Chromebook cart with 30 Chromebooks that our school just purchased for us, to fully integrate and effectively utilize the technology in a kid-friendly manner.

My Students
Greetings from the students of our community school. Our students primarily come from two rural villages in the southwest corner of Ohio.
Our students live in a community that still values community pride, being good citizens, and valuing family and friendship above all else.
Changes are also occurring in our community. We are beginning to see developments and have even seen the addition of our first national restaurant, McDonald's.
While our students are connected to their rural surroundings, many are excited about the future and incorporating technology and learning about what is beyond our farm belt.
We are very blessed to live in safe communities where there is so much support and care for one another. You definitely feel it in our hallways and classrooms and see it in our students' eyes and faces.
My Project
Let me start by explaining the project title. On state testing days, my classroom students are given a set of wired mice and I always tell them that the moose are loose! My students think this is hilarious and it helps break the ice for the day and it makes me smile too.
My students received a set of 30 Chromebooks and charging station about a month ago!
This is beyond exciting for them and for me! I have been pleading for Chromebooks for years and after 3 Superintendents and financial instabilities, it was finally my classroom's time!
I want my students prepared for not only the grades that follow me but for the modern and technological world that is waiting for them. I want them to be well versed and comfortable with various types of digital media and components. I want my students to look back and remember me as a teacher who made the love of math real and taught them skills they can use the rest of their lives.
Knowing that one day we would get Chromebooks, I converted all my files and assessments to Google Docs and Google Forms so that I was ready to hit the ground running. I also incorporate Khan Academy, Moby Max, and Prodigy, which provide research-based differentiated instruction to all levels of students while engaging them beyond paper and pencil.
Our school also invested in Math in Focus several years ago and purchased the digital license. I can now go beyond text, and captivate my students with lessons through the Chromebooks that get the students excited and motivated to learn because suddenly it is cool because it is on the computer!
In short, the mice will make the Chromebooks user-friendly and allow for effective time management.
