I am a middle school teacher of English Language Arts and Social Sciences. I teach students in grades 6-8. My students come from all walks of life with many different experiences. 30% of our student population is on free/reduced-price lunch. 20% of our population require special accommodations in order to meet their learning needs.
They are all hungry to learn.
They are very inquisitive and take on the challenges provided to them. These students are hard working and will be successful. They want and will do the impossible!
The Apple iPad and protective OtterBox case requested in this project will be utilized in providing my students the ability to research and learn about the world. I want to provide tools that will help empower them to be independent critical thinkers.
The wealth of information that can be accessed through the iPad will help empower every student in my class.
They will be afforded the opportunity to learn about what is happening locally and globally. Thus, becoming educated citizens of our society. As well rounded, educated citizens, my students will be able to have discussions about what is happening in our world today and what they can do to help make a change.
