My Students

The imagination of our students is something we need to nourish and foster! Do you remember picking up a book and becoming so engrossed that you would beg your parents for just five more minutes? As a fourth grade teacher I have had the pleasure of watching this phenomenon developed in many reluctant readers. Our journey through books began the moment they walked into the land of Harry Potter. Everyday is a magical learning adventure. The magic of literature is something that will follow them for life.

My Project

This class set of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone will help bring the magic of reading to life for my students. Walking into a theme based classroom alive with the magic of Hogwarts can only be brought to life through the reading of this magical book.

Reluctant readers, as they read this wonderful book, have only to look around them to understand why each item they see within their classroom plays a magical part in making it a special home for their fourth grade learning experience.

I am positive your support with this project will bring smiles and a thirst for reading to many young minds.
