The children are sweet and spirited and love to learn.We are engaged in virtual learning and despite its challenges we have bonded as a class.
There are 18 children and they are so engaged on-line.
They love Piggie and Gerald books and Go Noodle. They love learning to read and challenging math problems. They write incredible stories about their lives and enjoy art. They truly are amazing!
My Project
These amazing math materials will help my students develop conceptual knowledge of mathematics. These lucky second graders will have hands-on center activities and small group instruction.
Students will tell time, count coins, make pattern block designs, and learn addition and subtraction using base 10 blocks and place value coins.
These materials will inspire and engage students! Math will come to life in the classroom. Students will learn to share the materials and work in teams of 2 or 4. These materials will foster student collaboration and cooperation. Moreover, the manipulatives will address the common core standards and NCTM standards for grade two.
