My Project

My name is Ms. App and I teach 5 different sections of 12th Grade English.

This year my students, who are 17 & 18 years old, are the sweetest bunch of kids and the most needy that I have had in a VERY long time.

I have opened up my classroom during my lunchtime for them to come and eat with me to avoid the hustle & bustle of the school cafeteria. Most of my students want a more relaxed place to eat, work on assignments, complete college applications and just talk. Some like to come to just ask questions that they normally don't have time for during their school day. I know that most of my students in my school are from low socioeconomic and/or disadvantaged homes, so being able to provide them with snacks while they are in my classroom makes it a much more welcoming place, too!

I don't have the personal funds to give all of them lunch every day, but these snacks for them would definitely make their day!
