Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every morning we work with our Reading Club students who look forward to working in a small group to improve their literacy skills. We are excited to see the progress our students are making in reading with our support. Our students are always so excited to come to our reading club!

We work with students who aren't meeting grade level standards.

We work with 30 first graders who are all English Language Learners who require additional support in decoding and sight word support. Our students enjoy utilizing hands on literacy centers to increase their literacy skills.

My Project

Our students look forward to utilizing hands on materials. The literacy centers will provide additional practice and support to improve our students' phonemic awareness and sight word skills. The materials are an engaging way to improve their literacy skills.

The donations will improve all of our students literacy skills.

We find that several of our students require additional support through hands on experiences. The Lakeshore activities will provide the support our students need to improve their literacy skills.
