Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school serves students in grades PK-5 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment.
I teach at a Title I school in Southern California where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
We are becoming a STEAM school and will need manipulatives which will allow for hands on exploration.
My students are eager to learn and do their best. It's my mission for each and every one of them to enjoy coming to school.
My Project
STEAM education supports the development of skills of many disciplines. Students become more engaged when they see the relevance of what they are studying and how it can support their future aspirations. This way of thinking begins in Kindergarten.
In Kindergarten, it's our goal to provide meaningful and engaging experiences for all of our students.
As a new STEAM school we are excited to provide hands on activities for our little learners to explore and learn from. The addition of these STEAM materials to our classroom will open new doors to learning that promote collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creative problem solving.
