When I first posted this project on DonorsChoose, I hoped to give my 4th and 5th-grade students a chance to experience science and engineering outside of a textbook. Thanks to your support, that hope is now a reality. \r\nThe arrival of our new materials has completely transformed our classroom energy. We recently broke out the class set of Jenga, and it was amazing to see the students—including my special needs students—collaborate and work together so intently to keep the towers balanced. This tactile activity was beautifully inclusive, allowing every learner to participate equally. Through this hands-on challenge, they naturally learned and applied the foundational concept of gravity in real time.\r\nWe also received science viewers for the solar system and animal adaptations, wind power car kits, and slime kits. While we have not used these specific kits just yet, the students are waiting anxiously and checking the boxes daily, absolutely buzzing with excitement for our upcoming science units.\r\nThese resources are doing so much more than just making learning fun; they are sparking a deep curiosity and giving my diverse learners equal access to high-quality, sensory, and tactile tools. Thank you for believing in them and investing in their future.","fullyFundedDate":1778302908816,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-science-learning/10004773/","projectTitle":"Hands on Science Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dean","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7697615"},{"teacherId":5274922,"projectId":9743823,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all your very generous donations to the GIANT FLOOR PUZZLE project!
