Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Through this DonorsChoose project, my objective is to bring play into social-emotional learning! Play is so important and through Covid-19, people worldwide had to become virtual. These donors choose items will allow students to build creations, solve puzzles, and learn social skills.

Using these materials will relate to students advancing in their learnings because play-based learning is part of healthy social development in children.

Children who play more are more self-regulated, cooperative, considerate, friendly, and socially competent. They learn verbal and nonverbal communication, such as speech, gesture, facial expression and body language. Above all, play is needed for joy! That is my ultimate goal as an early child educator!
