My Project

Our children live in a world that is saturated with technology. While we are very fortunate to have such resources available to us, our children are missing out on the joy that comes from just listening to a story.

Having a Tomiebox and Tonie figures available at a listening station will allow my students to sit and just listen to a story told to them.

This will allow them an opportunity to use their visualization skills and foster their imagination. More than 250 students in grades preschool through 2nd grade will benefit from the addition of a Toniebox in our library.

Our students who are visually impaired will be able to enjoy listening to a story of their choosing without the need to find an adult to read to them. The Toniebox is an amazing resource and one that every early elementary classroom should have available.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
