The Ink Has Run Dry

Help me give my students the assignment packets they need for engaging remote learning. We need black and colored ink.

My Students

Our students are confused and upset. They miss their teachers and friends. However, we do our best to engage with them throughout the day. We have been able to equip our students with technology and wifi so they can participate in remote learning.

Teachers meet with their students once or twice a day by video conferencing.

They are in contact with parents and students via email and phone calls. We use google classroom so they have daily assignments to complete. We respond to all their work submissions through google classroom.

We have a morning video meeting for the entire school where we recite the Pledge of Allegiance and give shout outs to students for the work they are doing. We share their work. We have Brain Power exercises to help relieve stress. Our counselors are remotely meeting with students.We have a Friday fun Kahoot game that the entire school can participate in.

Our students are adjusting but it is hard on them.

My Project

We will be continuing remote learning in the fall as well as in class teaching. There will probably be a hybrid model in place where some teaching is done in class and some at home.

It is so important to provide students with the necessary materials they will need to be successful.

They will need packets to supplement their learning in all subjects. Many copies of these will be needed daily. While I have an excellent copy machine which will provide the necessary copies, it has run out of ink.
