Help me give my students the opportunity to get ready to learn once they are able to calm their bodies.

My Project

My students walk on their tiptoes and seek different textures and sensory experiences through their feet. Providing sensory pathways, textured mats, and other sensory tools helps reduce anxiety and allows them to regulate their bodies before participating in classroom activities. Students are better able to focus on academic and functional tasks.

Students benefit from colorful sensory materials and visual supports that help them stay calm and engaged.

My students are special because they learn and experience the world in unique ways. Providing sensory tools, meet their individual needs, my goal is to increase attention, reduce distractions, and help students participate more successfully in learning in a school day.
